Wasps

DO YOU HAVE
A WASP/HORNET PROBLEM?

Every spring queen wasps enter our homes, gardens, and workplaces with the intention of building nests, and create as many workers as possible. Their nests grow very quickly through late spring/early summer, causing major problems to anyone close-by. Wasp nests will continue to function right through to late Autumn. Cold and lack of a sustainable food supply will eventually cause the active nest to become dormant. The last act is for the resident queen is to rear new queens for next year before she dies. The new queens will then hibernate over the winter (usually close to the old nest). Whilst the current nest will never be used again. Leaving the nest to die off naturally, will probably mean you will get another nest close by next summer?

Every year we are called out to deal with hundreds of wasps nests. We destroy them safely, and effectively, and our service is guaranteed. We leave our customers knowing they have one less worry! Wasps sting without provocation! Multiple stings can kill, as can a single sting if you suffer an allergy to a wasp’s sting… Knowing the dangers of tackling these aggressive insects we would never advise you to take any unnecessary risks yourself.

TIPS AND ADVICEWe are available to talk to you any time of the day (7am-7pm) to offer advice or take details of your particular pest problem. We will get to you either on the day you telephone or at a time and day that is convenient to you.

NEVER: prod, poke or fracture a live nest without adequate protection (wasps will respond to pending danger, or sudden shock by producing pheromones which will in turn alert the entire colony to the danger causing a swarm attack!)
NEVER: try to destroy a wasps nest by pouring chemicals, bleach or boiling water on it. Attempting to set fire to it is just as dangerous, and could result in serious burns, or multiple stings!
NEVER: try to resolve the problem by sealing the point of entry/exit with filler, or polystyrene foam! As well as agitating the wasps, there is a strong chance they will attempt to find other ways out which just compounds the problem!
ALWAYS: take professional advice from a qualified source. Putting your trust in the wrong hands, could pose a danger to yourself, your family, and members of the public.
